Pheromones for pest monitoring

They are usually SEX PHEROMONES, which simulate the emission of the female’s signal for mating and attract the males towards a trap.

They are fundamental in Integrated Pest Control with the objectives of:

  • Identifying and/or confirm the presence of the insect.
  • Monitoring population levels (follow up of flight curves).
  • Assessing the level of infestation.
  • Determining the optimal moment for carrying out phytosanitary treatments to avoid unnecessary treatments.
